A Fantastic Week!

This past week we went 3-2 with some great wins! On Tuesday, we beat Ozark Christian College. Click here to read Bartlesville's Examiner-Enterprise's article on the match.

Jacque Deal had an amazing 35 digs in the match. That performance plus averaging 7.35 digs per game this week landed her the MCAC Libero of the Week.

We finished the week 2-2 at the MCAC/KCAC Mazzio's Tournament at the College of the Ozarks. We beat Harris Stowe 3-0 and Robert Morris 3-1 and dropped three games straight to Bethel and losing 1-3 to Tabor--both regionally ranked teams. Click here for BE-E's article on the weekend.

2007 Season Begins!


Our 2007 season is underway! We had a thrilling start with a 2-3 loss to Manhattan Christian College. The game came down to the wire with a 14-16 ending.

We quickly bounced back with some great matches at the Oklahoma City University Classic. Although going just 1-3, the girls fought hard to the last point. Sophomore setter, Stephanie Lee was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Last night we had a sound showing at Bacone College, winning 3-0.

Jubilee Yocum Signs

Jubilee Yocum, recently new to Bartlesville, has signed a letter of intent to play for us next year! Jubilee graduated from Cedar Park Christian School in Bothell, WA and has attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL for the past two years. After graduation, her parents moved to Bartlesville, where her father is the superintendent for Bartlesville's Wesleyan Christian School.

Jubilee will play defense for us and is shown to the right with her father: Ron, mother: Coleen and Coach Kylee.

Congratulations, Jubilee! We're excited the Lord led you to us!

This past weekend (on the 19th of May) our Amanda said 'I do' to TJ Dickinson. The wedding was held in West Plains, MO and they will also be having a reception in Glenpool, OK on the 3rd of June.

Anna Moyer Signs

We're pleased to announce that Anna Moyer of Bartlesville has signed to play defense for us next year. Anna and her family recently moved to Bartlesville from Houston, TX where she played for Coach Craig Cleveland at Cypress Christian School. She is the daughter of Janette and Robert Moyer.

Vesper Hopkins Signs

Vesper Hopkins, a MH from Summit Christian Academy in Broken Arrow, OK has signed her letter of intent to play for us next fall! She is the 6'2" daughter of Larry and Desiree. She plans to study nursing while at OWU. She is pictured to the right with her entire family, SCA volleyball coach and OWU coach, Kylee Miller.

Vesper is the first student to become a scholarshipped college athlete at SCA. Below is the entire student body who was present at her monumental signing.

Leslie Smith Signs

We're excited to announce the signing of Leslie Smith! Leslie is a 5'8" outside hitter from Sanger, TX. She is the daughter or Debbie and Don Saenz. Leslie also signed her letter of intent for the Eagles track and field program.

Alica Efron, a 5'9" middle hitter from Fulshear, TX has signed a letter of intent to compete for OWU's volleyball and track & field programs.

Cherah McNall Signs

Cherah McNall, a Bartlesville native, signed a letter of intent to play for us next fall. She is pictured above with mother: Bonita, father: Pastor Greg from Sooner Park Wesleyan Church (Bartlesville), and Coach Kylee.

Cherah, towering at 5'5", will add more depth to our defensive specialist positions.

Congratulations to Stephanie Lee for being named to the NAIA All-Region IV 2nd Team!

NCCAA HONORS - 2006


Stephanie Lee, Tessa Logan and Jacque Deal were all named to the NCCAA Region V All-Region Team.

Lee led the team in Aces with .4 per game, 34 total; Assists with 8.2 per game, 685 total; Blocks with .8 per game, 68 total.

Logan led the team in kills with 2.8 per game for a season total of 240.

Deal led the team in digs with 4.1 per game for a season total of 370.

Three Named NCCAA Scholar Athletes - 2006


Congratulations to Darci Siebert, Sarah Kingery and Jacque Deal. Scholar Athletes must be a Junior or Senior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher.

OWU Players Named to MCAC All-Conference Teams


OMAHA, NEB. – The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2006 All-MCAC Women’s Volleyball Teams Saturday in conjunction with the MCAC Women’s Volleyball Tournament in Omaha, Neb. Senior Lindsey Hill of College of Saint Mary was named the MCAC Player of the Year, while senior Jami Arasmith of College of the Ozarks was tabbed MCAC Defensive Specialist/Libero of the Year. Freshman Stephanie Lee of Oklahoma Wesleyan University was selected MCAC Freshman of the Year. Bellevue University Head Coach Trish Siedlik was honored as MCAC Coach of the Year. Bellevue, which won the MCAC Tournament Title on Saturday, led all conference schools with six selections, while CSM ranked second with five picks. Jacque Deal was selected as an All-Conference Honorable Mention.
